Michael Saylor calls out the crypto industry for trying to reinvent the wheel: “Bitcoin at layer 1, it’s good enough. It’s good enough to be a hundred-trillion-dollar base layer. It’s good enough to be 200x bigger than it is. It’s good enough to be a $500 trillion base layer.”
I’ve been saying this for years: Bitcoin was first and it was good enough. That is enough to cement victory forever. Look at tcp/ip. 50 years old and nobody is out there calling it “old tech”. It just works. There isn’t anything about it that can be meaningfully improved. Certainly not anything big enough that it’s worth swapping out everything on the internet to a new protocol.
Bitcoin already won. The only people who don’t know this are rubes getting fleeced by shitcoin scammers.
